Integrate autovoice with the dedicated audio chip found on the moto x and droid maxx
Motorolas newest phones all contain a dedicated chip for natural language recognition. Getting autovoice to use this chip for the continuous mode would theoretically permit much better performance, as well as considerable power savings.
This would be great if there was any public API for that Audio Chip. Does anyone know of one?
I found a workaround, which is a little inconvenient, but it works. Create a profile to be triggered when you launch an app. Thus, "Okay Google Now, Open Compass" opens Compass (after a few seconds), which then triggers a profile in tasker for autovoice to recognize a command because the Compass app was opened.
You can replace the Compass with any app, I just used that as an example since I never use it.
